The fact that the city is literally built on water lends romance to an already strikingly beautiful, if somewhat faded, backdrop. Explore, contemplate and listen to the great tales this ancient city has to tell.

5-DAY VENICE TOUR
Day 1: ARRIVAL/VENICE. Benvenuti a Venezia! You will be greeted at the airport in Venice by one of our friendly English-speaking guides. Sit back and relax as you are taken via accessible transportation to your hotel near the Grand Canal. After check-in, a brief (and entertaining) orientation and lunch, you will be escorted on a tour of St. Mark’s Square followed by an evening of leisure on your own. We will escort you to a restaurant for your first authentic Venetian dinner, and then back to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: MURANO ISLAND. Enjoy a fresh and hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading off on a full-day adventure to Murano Island, home of the beautiful Venetian glass. You will learn how this delicate glass is made and enjoy other island sights. After lunch, it’s time for the quintessential Venetian experience: a gondola ride down the Grand Canal (wheelchair accessible). Reflect on your romantic day over a traditional Italian dinner and then unwind in comfort back at the hotel.
Day 3: BURANO & TORCELLO ISLANDS. Fuel up on another delicious breakfast at the hotel to prepare for the fun day ahead. After breakfast, your English-speaking guide will pick you up for a full-day tour to Burano and Torcello Islands. Exploring these unique, colorful islands is a pleasant change to the bustling city center of Venice. Relax over lunch on one of the islands. At the day’s end, dinner in Venice awaits. Sleep soundly at the hotel.
Day 4: VENICE. After breakfast and an Italian caffé at the hotel, embark on a morning tour of the Rialto area and the famed Rialto Bridge. We will escort you to lunch in a Venetian café and then set you free to shop to your heart’s content or enjoy an afternoon of leisure. Recall your favorite sights – or purchases – over dinner before retiring to the hotel.
Day 5: DEPARTURE. Relish every morsel of your last Italian breakfast, but don’t be sad. We know you’ll be back! The accessible van will pick you up and take you directly to the airport for a safe trip home. Start planning your next Accessible Escapes vacation on the plane…

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL:
To enjoy more moderate temperatures and lighter crowds, visit Italy in the spring (March-May) or fall (September-November). While more crowded, summer is great fun with lively festivals and outdoor activities, and the winter holidays in December are simply stunning.
